The Complex of the buildings located near the central railway station. It is executed as ceremonial entry into the city of Minsk. These are two blocks of flat. It looks like the gate because of two high-rise towers placed on the corners (11 floors). Our Belarusian people call them " The Twins". The author of the project is the architect B. Rubanenko, from Leningrad. On the top floors of each tower you can see the sculptures of workers, peasants and the soldiers. The height of each sculpture — 3,5 meters. It is interesting that on the one of towers there is the biggest watch in our country (diameter of the dial — more 3.5 meters). The watch is more than one hundred years old. It was brought to Belarus from Germany as a trophy during the Great Patriotic War. On the second tower there is the coat of arms of the BSSR.
Nowadays City Gate is the business card and one of the main sights of the Belarusian capital. And Privokzalnaya Square is one of sights of Minsk, too.
